It is with
our deepest regrets that we must announce that ATAC closed its
doors on October 31st, 2008. We gave our best efforts to try
to save this program, but financially this organization was
going deeper into debt each month. This situation was
developing for some time, but we were trying to hold out until
we could transfer our program to a new location. The final
assessment of our financial situation deemed that there was no
money to continue our current operations or to finance
relocation.
Everything happened
kind of fast when it all went down. We had a nice "Last
Supper" with Miss Beverly's spaghetti that even attracted a
few ATAC alumni. There
was an article written up in the Orange County Register and a
few families left some nice comments online.

We have lost our
center, but there is still hope for the families of our program. Scott, Kris and Jenny Jo have
now started a new organization that will keep the ATAC spirit
alive.
Outta Bounds Events will
continue to offer the kind of programming that ATAC families
have enjoyed for the past 25 years. We are currently planning
camps for Spring Break and for the ten weeks of summer. We
will also be hosting special events throughout the year such
as overnighters, family nights, our annual Knott's Scary Farm
trip and maybe even some paintball.
If you are interested
in finding out more information about our new organization
visit our
website. If you were
on the mailing list for ATAC, you have been automatically
added to the new mailing list for Outta Bounds Events. We will make any announcements regarding summer and
other events through this email list.
For older alumni and
"hip" parents with
Facebook accounts, search Facebook for our
ATAC Alumni Group and our Outta Bounds Events Group. Many
alumni, and a few old staff, have joined and stay in touch
through these groups.
Thank you to all of
our families for your support and we hope to see everyone at
the new Summer Camp 2009.
